Livestock that can make a living Cattle Sheep Poultry geese, laying hens and guineas At Wilson Land & Cattle Co., our animals are more than livestock—they’re partners in building healthier soils, stronger ecosystems, and a resilient farm for the future. We raise a diverse mix of species under a regenerative grazing system designed to mimic natural herd movement, keeping animals on pasture for more than 300 days each year.

Overview

Our Grazing Approach

We practice adaptive rotational grazing, moving animals frequently to fresh paddocks. This approach:

Protects soil by maintaining continuous ground cover.

Builds organic matter and improves water infiltration.

Enhances forage quality by allowing plants to rest and recover properly.

Spreads fertility evenly across the landscape.

By working with nature—not against it—we’ve created a multi-species ecosystem that regenerates soil, produces nutrient-dense food, and reduces the need for outside inputs. And because we demand the highest standards from our livestock, every animal on our farm has proven its ability to thrive in this system. our blog https://www.russwilson.net/single-post/the-best-low-input-seedstock-livestock
